Irish trade surplus falls by 5.4% on-month in February

Ireland’s trade surplus fell in February as its trade surplus with the UK declined sharply, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday

The country’s trade surplus declined 5.4% to €4.06 billion in February from €4.30 billion in January.

Ireland’s trade surplus with the rest of the EU rose 3.2% to €2.95 billion in February from €2.86 billion in January.

Its trade surplus with the US climbed 13% to €2.10 billion in February from €1.86 billion in January.

However, Ireland’s trade surplus with the UK fell 82% to €84 million in February from €478 million in January.
