Aquila European Renewables PLC - currently in a managed wind-down, had previously invested in European renewable energy assets - Appoints Christopher Mills, chief executive and investment manager of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC, as a non-executive director, from Thursday this week. Notes that as it enters the next stage of its managed wind-down, Non-Executive Director Myrtle Dawes plans to step down at the company’s annual general meeting on June 17. Adds that Mills plans to donate his director fees to the Harwood Charitable Trust. Mills founded Harwood Capital Management in 2011. ‘We are pleased to welcome Christopher Mills to the board. His expertise and insight will be invaluable as we continue our engagement with Aquila Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Commerzbank, the company’s investment adviser,’ says Non-Executive Chair Robert Naylor.
