Aeorema Communications hails ‘record’ activity at Cannes Lions 2026

ALN

Aeorema Communications PLC on Thursday announced ‘record’ Cannes Lions contracted revenue, which it said demonstrated strength of recurring client relationships.

The London-based live events agency said its brand experience agency Cheerful Twentyfirst has secured a record level of Cannes Lions-related revenue for 2026, with the agency expected to deliver 17 activations across Cannes Lions week.

Aeorema said the Cannes Lions contracted revenue supports its first-half year visibility ‘and demonstrates strength of recurring client relationships, as the event continues to grow into a major platform for global brand activations.’

According to Cannes Lions’s website, an activation refers to ‘specific, often short-term marketing efforts designed to directly engage consumers and prompt immediate action, like participation or purchase. It’s typically a campaign or event that brings the brand to life in an interactive way, creating memorable, one-off experiences to boost brand awareness or loyalty.’

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity will take place from June 22 to 26 in Cannes, France. It features ‘industry-leading’ work, with ‘thought-leaders’ taking the stage, according to Cannes Lions’s website.

Aeorema Chief Executive Officer Steve Quah said: ‘Our record level of Cannes Lions activity is further tangible proof of the disciplined commercial strategy we are executing across the group. We are no longer simply competing for individual creative briefs, but increasingly securing repeat and multi-year work from the world’s largest brands and marketing networks.’

He added: ‘For shareholders, our high level of repeat business is significant. It reduces client acquisition costs, supports operating margins and provides the business with greater revenue visibility and resilience, while strongly positioning us for sustained long-term growth on a global stage.’

Aeorema shares rose 1.7% to 61.50 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London.
