IN BRIEF: Tristel names Christopher Lee as next chief executive

Tristel PLC - Newmarket, England-based maker of infection prevention products - Appoints Christopher Lee as chief executive officer with effect from August 1, succeeding Matt Sassone, who is leaving on June 30. Names Chief Financial Officer Anna Wasyl to serve as interim CEO before Lee assumes the role. Says Sassone is moving to ‘a worldwide president role with a large US multinational.’ Lee was CEO of medical device company Summit Medical Ltd from 2020 to 2025. He is currently non-executive chair of Venner Medical Deutschland GmbH, having served as respiratory and anaesthesia products company Venner Medical International’s CEO from 2013 to 2020, and worked at Johnson & Johnson for 18 years. Company says that at Summit he led its strategic development and growth, overseeing multiple subsidiaries and driving international expansion, and that overall he has more than 35 years’ experience in the medical technology and healthcare industry.

‘We are delighted to welcome Chris to Tristel and his industry experience, especially in the US, makes him the ideal person to lead the business as we drive further growth from what is a well-established platform,’ says Chair Bruno Holthof. ‘We remain confident in our future growth and look forward to Chris’s input and insight as we continue to drive overseas expansion.’
