Global Connectivity says will need to seek funding after swing to loss

ALN

Global Connectivity PLC on Friday said it swung to a loss in 2025 after registering a loss on financial assets at fair value.

The Isle of Man-based investment firm in the communications and connectivity sectors said it swung to a pretax loss of £8.9 million in 2025 from a £5.0 million profit a year prior.

The company registered a £7.6 million net loss on financial assets at fair value, swung from a £5.4 million gain in 2024.

Revenue for the year was nil, unchanged on-year, and the company reported an impairment loss of £1.0 million, up from none in 2024.

Looking ahead, Global Connectivity said: ‘The board will continue to seek to invest in adjacent sectors of the communications business. The board is conscious that at some point in the current financial year, despite the low cost base and support of its directors and advisers, the company will need to conduct a fundraising.’

Shares in Global Connectivity were flat at 0.20 pence on London’s Aquis Exchange on Friday.
