Nichols PLC on Monday announced the launch of a new protein water range, part of a multi-year brand licence agreement with Manchester, England-based online retailer of sports nutrition and beauty products, THG PLC. Under the deal, Nichols, the Merseyside, England-based soft drinks company behind Vimto, will produce Myprotein clear whey protein water and distribute the range through the UK. The launch builds on Nichols’ existing partnership with THG, which began in 2021. Myprotein, the sports nutrition brand owned by THG, initially licensed the Vimto brand for its Vimto clear whey protein, with the range since expanding into creatine, collagen, pre-workout and gummies. Myprotein’s Vimto clear whey is now the number one selling clear whey protein product across UK retail, Nichols said. The new launch will take place in September and is expected to meet growing consumer demand for protein drinks. The launch is ‘expected to contribute to our delivery of long term, profitable growth,’ said Nichols Chief Executive Andrew Milne. Nichols traded up 0.7% at 952.26 pence each in London on Monday, while THG rose 0.6% to 31.24p. Copyright 2026 Alliance News Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
