EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Ian Cheshire gives up Spire chair for Ofcom post

ALN

The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Spire Healthcare Group PLC - London-based private healthcare provider - Ian Cheshire will step down as chair by the end of September, Spire says. The former chief executive of DIY-store chain Kingfisher PLC has chaired Spire’s board since 2021, but he was recently named chair of UK telecommunications industry regulator Ofcom, as well as chair of utility Anglian Water. Spire promotes Senior Independent Director Debbie White to replace Cheshire as chair. Natalie Ceeney will become SID in White’s place. Spire last week granted a third put-up-or-shut-up deadline extension for its second-largest shareholder. Back in May, Spire said the board ‘would be minded to recommend’ a £1.01 billion takeover proposal from funds advised by Toscafund Asset Management LLP. Tosca now has until August 6 to mark that offer firm.

----------

Genedrive PLC - Manchester, England-based pharmacogenetic testing - Hires Graham Cole to be non-executive chair, starting on Tuesday. Cole was chair of Westland Helicopters and also held executive roles within the Anglo-Italian AgustaWestland group, including managing director for global operations. At Genedrive, Cole replaces Ian Gilham, who stepped down at the start of this month.

----------

Celsius Resources Ltd - developing Maalinao-Caigutan-Biyog copper-gold project in the Philippines - Hires George Bujtor as non-executive chair, starting on Tuesday. Celsius notes that Bujtor worked for miner Rio Tinto PLC for over 25 years, holding senior roles in Australia. Since 2005, he has been based mostly in the Philippines, Celsius says, leading the development of the Berong nickel laterite project and the Carmen copper project. Peter Hume steps down as interim chair but will remain on the Celsius board, it says.

----------

Angus Energy PLC - UK-focused onshore oil and gas developer - Promotes Ross Pearson to chief operating officer and executive director, starting Tuesday. Pearson has been director of Wells & Subsurface at Angus Energy since October 2023. Prior to Angus Energy, Pearson was technical director at former London listing IGas Energy PLC.
