JD Sports Fashion PLC - Lancashire, England-based retailer of sports, fashion and outdoor brands - Appoints Darren Shapland as interim chair with immediate effect following the conclusion of its annual general meeting, replacing Andrew Higginson, who announced in April his intention to step down. Shapland will serve until a permanent chair is appointed. As interim chair, he steps down as chair of the ESG committee, while remaining a member, and temporarily leaves the audit & risk committee. Non-Executive Director Prama Bhatt succeeds him as chair of the ESG committee with immediate effect.
