The investment objective of the Fund is to generate income with the potential for long term (5 years) capital growth. The Fund will seek to achieve its objective by investing at least 75% in equities issued by companies based in developed European markets (being member states of the European Union, Norway, Switzerland or the United Kingdom). The Fund may also invest in emerging and frontier European markets including Turkey, Russia and Iceland. The Fund may also invest in government securities, fixed income, closed ended collective investment schemes/vehicles (which may include those managed and/or operated by the ACD and which will provide exposure to various asset classes including equities and bonds), real estate investment trusts, money market instruments, deposits, cash and near cash.
Pras Jeyanandhan
Pras joined Downing in September 2020 as a fund manager and is responsible for co-managing the Downing European Unconstrained Income Fund (DEUI). He has over 11 years ‘investment experience, having worked with Berenberg Bank as an equity analyst, before joining Syz Asset Management in 2015 as an analyst and then portfolio manager. Pras is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) having qualified with KPMG.
Mike Clements
Mike joined Downing in September 2020 as a fund manager and is responsible for co-managing the VT Downing European Unconstrained Income Fund (DEUI). He has over 20 years’ experience as an investor having started as a European equity analyst at UBS Asset Management in 1999. Mike has also worked at Franklin Templeton as a portfolio manager and at Syz Asset Management as head of European Equities.
