The investment objective of the Barings Global Agriculture Fund is to achieve capital growth by investing in the agricultural sector.
Clive Burstow
Clive Burstow, the investment manager in the Baring Global Resources Team and lead manager of the Baring Global Mining Fund believes he was destined to return to the investment manager where he had his first practical taste of fund management. In 2007 he joined Alliance Bernstein's EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) investment team to analyse materials companies and co-ordinate the gold and precious metals research teams. Joining Blackrock's mining team in 2010 meant immersing himself in research and analysis, and spending more time visiting company's mining projects and operations.
James Govan
James Govan is an Investment Manager on Barings’ Global Resources Team and is Co-Manager of the Barings Global Resources Fund. James is also the Lead Manager of the Barings Global Agriculture Fund. He has worked in the industry since 2002. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, James worked as an Assistant Fund Manager on a U.K. equity long/short hedge fund at BC Asset Management. He holds a B.Sc. in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School, City University, London. James was awarded the Investment Management Certificate in 2002 is a member of the CFA Institute.
