The objective of this fund is to provide growth. The fund will typically invest between 90% and 100% in company shares. The fund will hold a wide range of company shares from all economic sectors. The company shares that the fund invests in will usually be from the US and Canada. The fund may also hold company shares from Mexico. The fund will invest directly in these company shares or indirectly through derivatives (contracts which have a value linked to the price of another asset). The fund may use derivatives for the following purposes: To help with efficient day to day management, to reduce some of the risks of the market. The fund may also invest in bonds (a type of loan which pays interest), cash or deposits.
Nigel Holland
Nigel joined LGIM in 1997 and is a Senior Fund Manager and Head of the North American Equities team, with overall responsibility for the running of four portfolios. He joined LGIM from BZW where he had spent 16 years as a Fund Manager on the North American Equities team, having progressed to Director of US Equities, based in New York. Prior to this, Nigel was articled to a firm of Chartered Accountants from 1974 to 1979. Nigel is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
