Fund Objective

The Fund aims to provide capital growth (to grow the value of your investment) over at least 5 years, while protecting the Fund's share price from dropping below 80% of its all-time high. The Fund invests in a broad range of assets around the world. These may include the shares of companies, bonds (or similar-debt-based assets), property, commodities, cash and alternative assets (such as infrastructure funds and private equity funds). These assets may be held directly in the asset itself (excluding commodities or property) or indirectly (e.g. using derivatives (financial contracts whose value is linked to the price of an underlying asset), exchange traded products and/or funds).

Fund Managers

Philip Saunders

Philip is Co-Head of Multi-Asset Growth at Ninety One. He is also co-portfolio manager for the Global Strategic Managed and Risk Managed strategies, and has macro focussed research responsibilities. He began his investment career in 1981 as an analyst at Guinness Mahon & Co Limited, assuming management responsibility for the company’s managed currency funds in 1984. In 1987, he became a founding director of Guinness Flight Global Asset Management, which was later acquired by Ninety One in 1998, and led its successful Global Fixed Income team. In 2000 he joined the Multi-Asset team, becoming Head in 2004. Philip graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in History in 1980.

Iain Cunningham

Iain is a portfolio manager in the Multi-Asset team at Ninety One. He is the co-portfolio manager of the Global Macro Allocation, Global Strategic Managed and the Risk Managed strategies. Iain’s research responsibilities include macro, fixed income and currency.. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Iain started his career at Schroders where he was responsible for the management of a number of multi-asset funds and mandates focused on dynamic asset allocation and income. He has a BSc in Economics from Loughborough University, and an MSc in Economics and Finance (with distinction). Iain is also a CFA Charterholder.
