The Fund aims to provide long term capital growth from a multi-asset portfolio and to deliver protection at 80% of the Fund’s highest share price ever achieved. The Fund may take investment exposure to global equities, bonds, property, commodities, cash and alternative assets. From time to time, the Fund’s strategy will be to increase its allocation to low risk interest bearing investments which is designed to deliver the 80% protection.
Max King
Max is a portfolio manager in the Global Asset Allocation team. Prior to joining Investec Asset Management, he was a director of JO Hambro Capital Management, where he managed a range of portfolios, with a variety of investment remits including ‘special situations’, mid to large cap pan-European companies and UK small caps. Before that, he worked for Finsbury Asset Management between 1987 and 1997 as a director and senior investment manager, with responsibilities for several investment trusts, focused on a variety of UK stocks. Max also worked for LF Rothschild for four years as a vice president in the risk arbitrage department, investing proprietary capital and client money. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Peat Marwick and then spent two years in corporate advisory before moving into investment management. Max graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics.
