The objective of the Fund is to generate a rising level of income with long-term capital growth. The Fund invests primarily in shares of Asian and Australasian companies (excluding Japan). The Fund may use derivatives (complex instruments) to manage the Fund more efficiently, with the aim of reducing risk, minimising costs and/or generating additional capital or income. The Fund is actively managed within its objectives and is not constrained by a benchmark.
Tim Dickson
Based in Henley-on-Thames, Tim is responsible for the management of a number of Asian equity mandates, specialising in Asian equity income investing. He began his career in 1993 with the Bank of England, where he joined its Banking Supervision team before specialising as an Asian analyst within its highly regarded International division. Building on his central bank experience, in particular in respect of the Asian territories, Tim joined F&C Investments in 1998, where he became an assistant director on their Pacific equities desk. He then joined Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in 2005 as an investment director covering global emerging markets and Asia before joining our company in August 2008. Tim holds a BSc in Economics from the City University, an MSc in Economics from the University of London and is a CFA charterholder.
