To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in European equities (company shares). Performance Target: To achieve the return of the FTSE World Europe ex UK Index plus 3% per annum over three years (before charges). The Performance Target is the level of performance that the management team hopes to achieve for the fund. There is however no certainty or promise that they will achieve the Performance Target. The ACD believes this is an appropriate target for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the index.
Ben Ritchie
Ben Ritchie is a senior investment manager on the UK and European equities team and alongside a generalist role acts as deputy investment manager on the property share fund. Ben joined Aberdeen in 2002 as a graduate having interned with Aberdeen in 2000 and 2001. Ben graduated with a BA (Hons) in Modern History and Politics from Pembroke College, University of Oxford and is a CFA charterholder.
Kurt Cruickshank
Mr Kurt Cruickshank is an investment analyst on the UK and European equities team. Joined Aberdeen in 2008 having completed an internship in the summer of 2007. MA in Economics and Law from the University of Edinburgh.
