Objective: To achieve long term capital growth principally through investment in equities and equity related securities of financial sector companies on an international basis, but with the power to invest in other asset types when the Manager considers it appropriate for market conditions. Policy: At least 70% of the Fund is invested in shares of companies in the financial services and related sector based anywhere in the world. Up to 30% of the Fund may be invested in other assets, including shares of other companies, open-ended funds (including funds managed by Jupiter and its associates), cash and near cash. The Fund may also enter into derivative transactions for investment (i.e. speculative) purposes.
Guy de Blonay
Guy joined Jupiter in 1995 and is currently a fund manager in the Global team. Guy is the manager of the Jupiter Financial Opportunities Fund and the Jupiter International Financials Fund (Unit Trusts) as well as the Jupiter Financial Innovation fund (SICAV). In 2001, Guy joined New Star (which was subsequently taken over by Henderson) where he managed global financial equities. He returned to Jupiter in January 2010, initially in an advisory capacity, before again assuming fund management responsibilities in June 2010.
