The investment objective of the Cautious Managed Fund is to achieve growth by investing in a managed portfolio of shares and fixed interest securities. We do not quote a benchmark or outperformance target for the Fund. This is because the asset allocation of the Fund will change over time. Many funds sold in the UK are grouped into sectors by the Investment Association (the trade body that represents UK investment managers) to help investors compare funds with broadly similar characteristics. Investors may wish to consider the performance of the Fund by looking at the performance of the “Mixed Investment 20-60% Shares Sector” which as of February 2020 has a broadly similar allocation to shares, fixed interest securities and cash. Fund manager in the Diversified Growth team, focussing on UK and North American institutional and intermediary clients. Head of Term risk premium team of the Strategic Investment Group Multi-Asset (SIGMA). Initially joined Schroders as a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income team, with responsibility for global rates, money markets and then Gilt and European government portfolios. Transferred to the Multi-Asset team in 2009. CFA Charterholder. Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, University of Oxford.
