The investment objective of the Fund is to provide a high level of income and increase the value of your investment over the long term.In order to meet its objective, the Fund will invest at least 80% of the Fund’s assets in income producing investments with a focus on tradable debt (bonds) issued by companies, governments and other institutions on a global basis, including less economically-developed markets (emerging markets) and bonds considered to be below investment grade (meaning they are issued by companies considered to be more likely to default and are rated less than BBB- (S&P’s) or an equivalent rating or if unrated, determined by the Investment Manager to be equivalent).Income producing investments would also include stocks which are entitled to a fixed dividend (preferred stock), securities whose value and income are derived from and backed by a consolidated pools of loans or mortgages (asset or mortgage-backed securities), bonds which are offered privately in the U.S. to certain categories of U.S. investors (Rule 144A and Regulation S securities), structured notes, bank loans that qualify as debt instruments which can easily be converted into cash (money market instruments) and other types of debt obligations. Bonds may be issued or guaranteed by government agencies or supranational entities. The Fund may invest no more than 10% of its assets in bank loans that qualify as money market instruments. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in securities other than those described above. The Fund may invest no more than 20% of its assets in dividend-paying stocks and no more than 10% of its assets in other funds (underlying funds).In addition, the Fund may use derivatives (financial contracts that derive their values from those of other investment instruments) to offset potential losses that may be incurred (hedging) or gain exposure to interest and exchange rates or credit.
Dan Fuss
Dan Fuss has over 55 years of experience in the investment industry and has been with Loomis, Sayles & Company since 1976. He is Vice Chairman of the firm and co-manager on numerous institutional accounts for the fixed -income group. Mr. Fuss also manages and co-manages a variety of mutual funds. In 2012, Mr. Fuss received both the Institutional Investor Money Management Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Lipper Excellence in Investing Award. In 2013, Mr. Fuss received the CFA Society of Milwaukee Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2000, he was named to the Fixed Income Analysts Society’s Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions and lifetime achievements in the advancement of the analysis of fixed-income securities and portfolios. He has twice been the president of the Boston Security Analysts Society. Mr. Fuss received his BS and his MBA from Marquette University, and he is a CFA® charterholder. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958 and held the rank of Lieutenant.

Elaine M. Stokes
Elaine Stokes is an Executive Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of the full discretion team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. She is also a member of the firm's board of directors and has over 30 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 1988. Ms. Stokes co-manages a variety of mutual fund and institutional strategies, including the firm's flagship fund. Prior to becoming a portfolio manager in 2000, she worked in high yield, global and emerging markets, serving as a senior fixed income trader and portfolio specialist. Ms. Stokes is co-head and founder of the Loomis Sayles Women's Network group and is on the executive board for the Strong Women, Strong Girls nonprofit organization. Ms. Stokes earned a BS from St. Michael's College.
Brian Kennedy
Brian Kennedy is a vice president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and co-portfolio manager of the firm’s multisector institutional strategies and mutual funds. Brian started his investment industry career in 1990 as a senior fund accountant at the Boston Company. He joined Loomis Sayles in 1994 as a securitized and government bond trader. He transitioned to the high yield trading desk in 2001, where he initiated Loomis Sayles’ trading of bank loans, while also trading high yield, convertibles, derivatives and equities. Brian first joined the full discretion investment team as product manager in 2009. In 2013, he was promoted to co-portfolio manager of the investment grade bond products and in 2016 he was promoted again to co-portfolio manager of the multisector suite of products. Brian co-manages a variety of mutual fund and institutional strategies, including the Loomis Sayles Bond, Strategic Income, Investment Grade Bond, Investment Grade Fixed Income, High Income, Fixed Income, Multisector Income and Strategic Monthly Income Funds, as well as the multisector and core plus full discretion institutional accounts. Brian is actively involved in the Loomis Sayles mentorship program, undergraduate women’s investment network (UWIN) and summer internship programs. He was born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts and enjoys coaching girls club hockey. Brian earned a BS from Providence College and an MBA from Babson College.
