The Fund aims to achieve long term capital growth over a three-year rolling period by investing in attractive markets and sectors on a worldwide basis. The investment policy is to invest in equities that can best take advantage of economic opportunities worldwide. As a result, the Fund may not always have exposure to all asset types. Derivative and forward transactions may be used by the Fund for Efficient Portfolio Management.
Andrew Dalrymple
Andrew Dalrymple is the Chief Investment Officer and the lead Fund Manager for Aubrey’s Global Equity and Emerging Markets Strategies. Andrew is a founding member of the firm, having formed Aubrey in 2006. A graduate from Cambridge University, Andrew served in the British Army before beginning his career at Cazenove & Co where he specialized in Asian equities. In 1987 he joined James Capel & Co and in 1991 transferring to James Capel Far East in Hong Kong. Andrew continued in his role as an Asian specialist in Hong Kong working for UBS Warburg between 1992-1998. Between 1998 and 1999 he established the Global Opportunities Fund, this is now known as the “First State Global Opportunities Fund”, and remained his signature fund throughout his eight year tenure at Stewart Ivory and then First State Investments.
