The Fund aims to achieve long-term (5 years plus) capital growth. The Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in shares or other equity related securities of companies incorporated, domiciled or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in China, including Hong Kong. Exposure to China will be accessed by investing in securities listed on Hong Kong and other relevant exchanges and China A shares listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges via Stock Connect. In pursuing the Fund’s investment objective, the fund manager may consider it appropriate to also invest in other transferable securities (including non-Chinese companies), money market instruments, collective investment schemes (including funds managed by the Invesco group), deposits and cash. The Fund may use derivatives for efficient portfolio management purposes only, to reduce risk, reduce costs and/or generate additional capital or income.
Mike Shiao
Based in Hong Kong, Mike joined Invesco in 2002. In April 2015, he became Chief Investment Officer, Greater China, leading the Greater China equities team. He was appointed as Chief Investment Officer, Asia ex Japan, in April 2016.Mike has been the lead manager of the Greater China equity portfolios since 2008, and became the lead manager of the Asia opportunities equity portfolios in July 2014. He is also responsible for China focus equity portfolios, Hong Kong & China portfolios, and institutional portfolios investing in Hong Kong/China. Mike was previously Head of Equities for Invesco Taiwan Ltd.He moved to Invesco Hong Kong Ltd to expand his coverage to Greater China markets in 2006. Mike started his investment career in 1992 at Grand Regent Investment Ltd., where he worked for six years as a project manager supervising venture capital investments in Taiwan and China. In 1997, he joined Overseas Credit and Securities Inc. as a senior analyst covering Taiwan technology sector. Mike also worked at Taiwan International Investment Management Co., as a fund manager and was responsible for technology sector research.Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan and a Master of Science degree in Finance from Drexel University, Philadelphia.
Lorraine Kuo
Based in Hong Kong, Lorraine Kuo joined Invesco in September 2011 as a fund manager and was later promoted to associate director. She is the co-manager for Greater China equity portfolios and Hong Kong & China portfolios. Lorraine is responsible for stock research and analysis in internet, software, and media industries. Previously, Lorraine spent six years as a sell-side analyst in Deutsche Bank, covering chemical and cement sectors in Taiwan from 2004 to 2008 and technology sector in China during 2010 to 2011. Lorraine was an investment analyst with Manulife Asset Management (HK) Ltd between 2008 and 2010, responsible for stock research and recommendations in Taiwan and Korea. She also had experience in banking industry and worked as a credit analyst at Credit Lyonnais Taipei for two years. Lorraine received her Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Economics degree from National Taiwan University.
