The objective of the Fund is to provide growth by tracking the performance of the MSCI World SRI Index, the “Benchmark Index”. This objective is after the deduction of charges and taxation.The Benchmark Index is comprised of shares in developed markets. TheIndex provides exposure to companies with outstanding environmental, social andgovernance (ESG) ratings and excludes companies who have a negative social orenvironmental impact.The Fund is a Replicating Fund as it seeks to replicate as closely as possible theconstituents of the Benchmark Index, less those constituents excluded by the ethicalscreening methodology, by holding all, or substantially all, of the remaining shares incompanies in the Benchmark Index in similar proportions to their weightings in theBenchmark Index. The Fund will have exposure to assets that are included in theBenchmark Index.The Fund may also invest in shares in companies which are reasonably expected tobecome part of the Benchmark Index in the near future or are an alternative to aconstituent of the Benchmark Index and collective investment schemes, including thosemanaged or operated by the Manager or an associate of the Manager as well as moneymarket instruments (such as treasury bills), cash and deposits.The Fund may only hold derivatives for Efficient Portfolio Management purposes.
Index Fund Management Team
The Index Fund Management team comprises 25 fund managers, supported by two analysts. Management oversight is provided by the Global Head of Index Funds. The team has average industry experience of 15 years, of which seven years has been at LGIM, and is focused on achieving the equally important objectives of close tracking and maximising returns.
