Fund Objective
The fund is designed to provide almshouses with a high income and security of capital assets from their investment. The Trustee has complete discretionwith regard to the choice of investments; currently the equity content of the fund is invested in Charifund and the fixed interest content in Charibond shares, and as from June 2012 the fund will also invest in the M&G Global Dividend Fund.
Fund Managers
Tristan Hanson
Tristan Hanson was appointed fund manager of the M&G Global Target Return Fund upon its launch in December 2016, and deputy fund manager of NAACIF in April 2018. Tristan has over 15 years of experience in asset management and joined M&G in April 2016 from Ashburton Investments, where he started in 2008 and was appointed Head of Asset Allocation with responsibility for global multi-asset funds in 2010. Prior to this, Tristan worked as a Strategist at JP Morgan Cazenove from 1999 to 2006, covering equities, fixed income and currencies. Tristan holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
Jenny Rodgers
Jenny Rodgers joined Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G) in 1994, initially analysing European equity markets and acting as a portfolio manager for external clients. She has been part of what is today the Macro & Multi Asset team since it was established in 1999. In January 2011, Jenny was appointed co-fund manager of the M&G Episode Growth Fund, and in September 2016 took over the management of one of M&G’s charity funds, the National Association of Almshouses Common Investment Fund. Jenny is a CFA charterholder and has a BA Honours in Economics from Exeter University.
