To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in UK smaller capitalisation equities (company shares). Performance Target: To achieve the return of the Numis Smaller Companies Plus AIM excluding Investment Companies Index, plus 3% per annum over three years (before charges). The Performance Target is the level of performance that the management team hopes to achieve for the fund. There is however no certainty or promise that they will achieve the Performance Target. The ACD believes this is an appropriate target for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the index.
Harry Nimmo
Harry Nimmo is Investment Leader, in the Smaller Companies team. In this role his primary focus is the management of various UK portfolios as well as the co-management of the Global Mid-Cap and Global Small Cap strategies. He is also custodian of the smaller companies process, helping to ensure all portfolios are managed in line with the process he first developed in the 1990s. Harry spent the early years of his career as a Land Surveyor working both in the UK and in Saudi Arabia. In 1984, Harry graduated with an MBA and joined Aberdeen Standard Investments the following year. He has held various investment analyst and manager roles covering US equity funds, larger UK quoted company funds and was appointed to his current role in 1993. He has won a number of awards in recognition of his achievements within small cap. Harry has an MA (Hons), MBA, Diploma in Surveying.
