The Fund aims to achieve capital growth by investing in a portfolio of 50-80 high-quality UK smaller companies quoted on the official list of the London Stock Exchange, Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and NEX markets.
Richard Power
With overall responsibility for small caps at Octopus, Richard has over 20 years’ experience of smaller company investing. Lead manager of our FP Octopus UK Micro Cap Growth Fund, he also oversees the investment process of the team. Richard gained his first experience of fund management at a traditional private bank, and this ethos of personal client service has always been an integral part of his approach.
Chris McVey
Chris joined Octopus in 2016, from Citigroup, where he was most recently a specialist UK Small and Mid-Cap Equity research analyst operating across a variety of sectors. Previously, he was an investment manager and analyst at Gartmore for almost seven years, working across a variety of mandates, again wholly focused on AIM and UK small cap equities.
Dominic Weller
Dominic joined Octopus in 2015 and is a Fund Manager on the Smaller Companies team. He works across sectors and focuses on the FP Octopus UK Micro Cap Growth Fund, FP Octopus UK Multi Cap Income Fund and the Octopus AIM VCTs. He leads the teams development of quantitative investment tools and works on the responsible investment & stewardship efforts. He is a CFA charter holder.
