Fund Objective
To achieve capital appreciation by active investment in a diverse portfolio of securities, which shall mainly consist of Australian quoted companies involved in the world-wide mining and extraction and / or processing of natural resources, and associated operations.
Fund Managers
David Lees
David has over 14 years experience in the investment industry having previously been an Investment Advisor and Associate Director of stockbroking firm DJ Carmichael & Co where for 9 years he advised and transacted for clients in the Australian equity markets specialising in resource sector investments. Over the last 5 years David has been the Investment Manager for two successful private venture capital funds achieving consistent returns. David has been responsible for the investment analysis, decisions, risk and day to day management of these two funds. These funds, whilst having a diverse investment mandate, have been focussed towards the Australian market resources sector allowing David to further enhance his knowledge and experience in the sector. David holds a Bachelor of Economics from Murdoch University as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment through the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) where he is also a Fellow member of the organisation. David brings his experience from both investment advising and funds management to the role of Fund Manager to the suite of funds managed by Oceanic.
