VT RM Alternative Income Fund (the “Fund” or “RMAI”) seeks to provide income whilst preserving capital over the medium to long-term. The focus is real asset investments across three sectors; Secured Real Assets, Infrastructure and Specialist Real Estate. The Fund seeks to meet its objectives by investing in listed equities and other transferable securities (including, REITs and Investment Trusts) whose primary activity or exposure is within the alternative income sectors. In addition to investing in equities the fund may also invest in other transferable securities, including bonds, money market instruments or cash. The Fund will have a preference for investments denominated in sterling, with issuers which have activities and assets within the U.K., Europe, USA, Singapore or another OECD Country.
James Robson
James Robson is chief investment officer at RM Funds, where he is lead manager of the listed investment trust and co-manager of the VT RM Alternative Income fund. He is also a member of the credit and risk committees and a board member of RM Capital. With more than 20 years of experience, Robson was previously head of European corporate credit trading at HSBC and held positions at Dresdner Bank and RBS, where he traded corporate credit. He studied economics in business management at Newcastle University.
Pietro Nicholls
Pietro Nicholls is lead portfolio manager of the VT RM Alternative Income fund and co-manager of the listed investment trust at RM Funds. Nicholls started his career at Bear Stearns, working at JP Morgan and Barclays Corporate & Investment Banking, before joining RM Funds in 2013. He has mostly covered alternative assets, including private credit, real estate and infrastructure. Nicholls is a member of the investment committee and on the board of RM Capital.
