Fund Objective

The Fund’s investment objective is to achieve a total return over the medium term (3-5 years) by investing at least 80% in index-linked bonds issued by the UK government, known as gilts. The Fund's performance target is to outperform, after the deduction of charges, the FTSE Actuaries UK Index Linked Gilts (All Stocks) Total Return GBP Index (the "Index") over a rolling 5-year period. Fund Managers

Paul Rayner

Paul Rayner is Head of Government Bonds at RLAM and works closely with Government Bond Fund Manager Craig Inches. He is supported by a skilled and experienced team of specialist investors across all disciplines employed within the fund. Paul joined RLAM in June 2005 from SG Asset Management where he was Head of UK Bonds. Paul has over 25 years experience in managing UK and global government bonds and is a graduate in Economics from the University of Kent.

Craig Inches

Craig joined RLAM in January 2009 as a fund manager with the fixed interest team. He is responsible for the management of government bond portfolios including index-linked bonds, gilts and non UK sovereign debt. Craig joined RLAM after an 11 year career at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) where he was Fixed Income Investment Director. At SWIP, Craig built up a strong track record across a wide range of fixed income funds. Craig has an MSc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University and a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot-Watt University.
