To generate income and some growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in UK commercial property. It is intended that the fund will be a PAIF at all times and, as such, its investment objective is to carry on property investment business and to manage cash raised for investment in the property investment business. Performance Target: To meet the IA UK Direct Property Sector Average return (after charges) over the long term with lower volatility. The Performance Target is the level of performance that the management team hopes to achieve for the fund. There is however no certainty or promise that they will achieve the Performance Target. The ACD believes this is an appropriate target for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the sector.
George Shaw
George Shaw is lead manager of the Ignis UK Property Fund. He is supported by the exceptionally strong and well resourced Ignis Real Estate business unit, which is made up of 17 investment professionals including a highly experienced research team. George has 20 years’ investment experience and joined Ignis in December 2005. He graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 1990 with a BSc in Estate Management and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
