Fund Objective
The LF Canlife Managed 20%-60% Fund is an actively managed fund of funds. It aims to generate long-term (more than five years) capital growth by investing in a broad range of diversified assets, including global bonds, equities and UK commercial property (via collective investment schemes). Up to 60% of the Fund can be invested in equities, but equity exposure is usually no more 55% of the value of the Fund.
Fund Managers
David Marchant
David took over as Chief Investment Officer, Canada Life Limited and Managing Director, Canada Life Asset Management Limited in July 2013. He oversees all investment functions including fixed income, equities, real estate, commercial mortgages as well as marketing and distribution. David has over 30 years’ industry experience, with investment experience in both equities and bonds. He joined Canada Life Investments in November 2010 as Head of Securities having previously been Head of Global Equities at Insight Investment. David also held the role of Assistant General Manager at Equitable Life, where he had earlier been Head of Fixed Income and Head of Far Eastern Equities. David has a BA in Economics and Econometrics from Nottingham University and an MBA from City University.
Craig Rippe
Craig joined Canada Life Investments in March 2004 and was appointed Head of UK Equities in March 2010. He previously managed income funds at Govett Investment Management Limited and prior to that worked at Deloitte Touche. Craig has a BSc in Mathematics from Warwick University. He is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA charterholder.
