The investment objective of the Company is to provide income with an element of capital growth over the long term (10+ years). The Company will aim to achieve its objective mainly (50% or more) through investment in collective investment schemes which themselves may have multi-asset exposure, in some or all world markets. Investment may also be made directly across other asset classes, including transferable securities, government bonds, fixed income securities, warrants, structured products, cash and near cash and money market instruments. The proportion of the property of the Company which may be held in the different permitted asset classes, including cash and near cash, may vary from time-to-time at the Investment Manager’s discretion, subject to the limitations on investment set out in the FCA Regulations. It is the ACD’s intention that derivatives and forward transactions will only be used for Efficient Portfolio Management, however, if the Company were to consider using derivatives and forward transactions for investment purposes then Shareholders would have to be given 60 days’ notice. The use of derivatives for investment purposes may alter the risk profile of the Company.
Please remember that past performance is not a guide of future returns. The value of investments and the income from them can go down as well as up as a result of currency exchange and market fluctuations and investors may not get back the amount originally invested.
