Fund Objective

The Fund invests in private rented sector housing across the mainland UK regions and aims to capture UK house price growth plus provide an element of income return. The property investment manager, Hearthstone Asset Management, uses quantitative asset allocation methods and qualitative regional stock selection to build a portfolio of assets reflecting the distribution of UK mainland housing stock. These properties are let under assured shorthold tenancy agreements (AST's) and corporate lets.Investment returns comprise capital growth and rental income.

Fund Managers

Alan Collett

Alan is a Past President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and brings a lifetime of experience of residential investment and development to Hearthstone. An experienced Chartered Surveyor and former Senior Partner of Allsop & Co, he has worked in all aspects of the acquisition, development, management and sale of residential and mixed use property. Alan is a member of the NHBC Council, past Chairman of the Residential Committee of the British Property Federation, and an Honorary Fellow of the University College of Estate Management. He also serves as Deputy Chairman at Hyde Housing Group, a large housing association owning and managing nearly 50,000 homes, where he is also Chairman of the Investment Committee.

Stuart Springham

Stuart has worked in the sector since 2006 and has gained significant experience in residential investment, management and valuation in previous roles at Cluttons LLP, Strutt & Parker and, most recently, as Associate Director within the Residential Advisory department at JLL. A Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) since 2008, Stuart joined the Hearthstone fund management team in September 2019 to work closely with the Fund Manager on property acquisitions, management and disposals, as well as day-to-day fund liquidity management.
