The investment objective of the Company is to provide a mix of capital appreciation and income over the long term (5 years plus). The Company will aim to achieve its objective through investment in a multi asset portfolio, in some or all world markets, typically with a bias towards equities. Investment may be made across asset classes, including equities and other transferable securities, government bonds, fixed income securities, structured products, cash and near cash and money market instruments. Exposure to these asset classes may be direct or indirect through collective investment schemes (including collective investment schemes managed by the ACD or its associates). The Company may also gain exposure to asset types such as private equity, property and commodities indirectly through exchange-traded funds, closed-ended funds and collective investment schemes. Derivatives may be used for the purposes of efficient portfolio management. The proportion of the property of the Company which may be held in the different permitted asset classes, including cash and near cash, may vary from time to time at the Investment Managers’ discretion subject to the limitations on investment set out in the FCA Regulations.
Please remember that past performance is not a guide of future returns. The value of investments and the income from them can go down as well as up as a result of currency exchange and market fluctuations and investors may not get back the amount originally invested.
