Fund Objective
The aim of the Fund is to grow the amount you invested.The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in shares of smaller companies in Continental Europe and the UK or companies that have significant operations there. The smaller companies that the Fund invests in will typically be companies that are smaller in size than the top 300 companies in the FTSE World Europe Index.The Fund may also invest in asset classes and instruments different from those stated above.The Fund permanently invests a minimum of 75% of its assets in European Economic Area equities, and is therefore PEA (Plan d'Epargne en Actions) eligible in France.
Fund Managers
Philip Dicken
Philip Dicken is Head of European equities at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He joined the company in 2004 and has managed the Threadneedle Pan European Smaller Companies Fund since launch. He also manages the Threadneedle (Lux) European Smaller Companies Absolute Alpha and several other smaller company portfolios. He started his career with Merrill Lynch as an analyst in the Corporate Finance division and holds a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering with study in Continental Europe from Bristol University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is also a member of the CFA Society of the UK.
