Fund Objective
The aim of the Fund is to grow the amount you invested. The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in shares of smaller companies in Japan or companies that have significant operations there. As it invests in smaller companies, the Fund will mainly choose shares from companies that are smaller in size than the top 250 stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section.

Sarah Williams
Sarah Williams is an Executive Director on the Japan desk. She is responsible for constructing Japanese institutional portfolios, and manages the Threadneedle Japan Smaller Companies Fund. Sarah joined Threadneedle in October 2004 and has 18 years' investment experience, including more than 10 years managing Japanese equities. She previously worked for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and Hill Samuel Asset Management for over 10 years, latterly as an investment director. She also worked at Cresvale Asset Management and Target Investment Management. Sarah has a degree in Classics (First Class) from University College, London University.
