TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Jul 2005 01:46

Hello,

As you can see, we have put the new bulletin boards live.

The migration went smoothly, though it look at little longer than I expected it to!

If you notice any problems on the boards, please post below.

Nothing to say Kayak? that's unlike you!

chocolat - 02 Jul 2005 10:41 - 15 of 388

Oh it is TJ - which is niiice.
But my profile's disappeared into the ether, which is probably not a bad thing ;)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Jul 2005 10:57 - 16 of 388

oh, yes, everything reset during the data migration. :(

DocProc - 02 Jul 2005 11:08 - 17 of 388

Aha! I have now got to grips with how to use the 'chain link' tool.

1. Paste the URL of the pertinent web page into the posting.
2. Highlight it with a mouse swipe.
3. Click on the chain icon.

et 'Voila!'

Sorted!

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Jul 2005 11:34 - 18 of 388

DocProc,

That is indeed one of the ways the chain link work :)

STORMCALLER - 02 Jul 2005 11:54 - 19 of 388

JT,

In the old format, threads which were important or had reason to be held at the top of the list, had an identifying mark, any chance of restoring it please?
Also how does one identify which posts are mirrored and which are duplicated or single side?
While on that subject, the profile now appears on both sides when entered, was this intentional?

JT,

Any chance of a cancel button from the send e-mail page, to take you back to the position you came from....please

Toogood - 02 Jul 2005 12:56 - 21 of 388

hursheel - 02 Jul 2005 13:12 - 22 of 388

jimmy b - 02 Jul 2005 13:28 - 23 of 388

I'm all confused !

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Jul 2005 15:08 - 24 of 388

Stormcaller,

I'll look at adding a marker for the blessed threads!

Does it matter which threads are on both boards? do they really need to be identified specifically?

And yes, it's intentional that the profile appears on both sides. Having it uniform makes it easier for everyone :)

I'll see if a cancel button is possible too (surely just clicking 'back' works?)

J.

Jon
You are in serious trouble!
You have messed up the numbering on Pilchards Plaice thread.
Years of dedicated posting down the drain.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Jul 2005 15:56 - 28 of 388

Martini,

Opps :)

Sequestor - 02 Jul 2005 16:28 - 29 of 388

any chance you could increase the size of the `T`button on the Stockwatch list, unless I hit it dead centre it doesn`t play, what a grim world we live in eh?
