World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

Clubby luvvy
Sir Alex needs to sell Rooney quick before he infects the worlds best team players at MU
The second worst quote I have ever seen on this thread.the top honour went to a Michael Owen fan.
Rooney was a disgrace for Englandbut I believe he was hiding an injuryhe is a superbly gifted footballer that likes doing things his own wayreminds me very much of John Barnes never know what you are going to get on the daybut you looked forward to finding out?
Fergie would never sell him unless he kicks a boot in his face

Clubman3509 - 28 Jun 2010 13:34 - 1006 of 1154

Tabby you talk some shite. Every player has his price, and Sir Alex would sell Rooney, he sold Ronaldo who was and is a far better player. Rooney does not want to leave Manchester, for the likes of Madrid as he is still learning English, and his career would be over before he learned Spanish.

tabasco - 28 Jun 2010 13:48 - 1007 of 1154

I cant remember Fergie ever wanting to sell RonaldoI think it was a question of Ronaldo telling Fergie.tuff tittyin bingo terms the top of the shop fee was a little less painfuldid your wife win Friday?

Chris Carson - 28 Jun 2010 13:51 - 1008 of 1154

Just for the record re- Ronaldo, he asked to leave, big difference!

Clubman3509 - 28 Jun 2010 14:04 - 1009 of 1154

Fabio says England players were tired, that's OK then.

Fred1new - 28 Jun 2010 14:20 - 1010 of 1154

Tabby,

Haven't you noticed England are at war?

With themselves.

Go into any town centre on a Friday and Saturday night.

Don't know anything about "soccer".

My father wouldn't allow me to play girls' games.

Couldn't stand the crying and whining after the game.

8-)

Ps. was France beautiful as ever?.

Just finishing loading up the motor home, before wandering around Beaune for five to six weeks.

If England had picked the Ospreys they would have had more chance of winning.

required field - 28 Jun 2010 20:40 - 1016 of 1154

Heard the best finance joke of the finals......
I said to my Dad : Brazil are not bad...reply came ...: no not bad at all,....any country that trains eleven people day in and out will succeed.....
I said...well yes ...Liechtenstein could win it ...posssibly....
reply came :..."as long as there is duty".....!.

dealerdear - 28 Jun 2010 21:42 - 1017 of 1154

The Ospreys can't win at rugby so I wouldn't think they'd be any good at footy.

Mind you to be fair they drop the ball in front of them onto their feet so maybe I'm wrong ...

Dil - 28 Jun 2010 22:37 - 1018 of 1154

14 Ospreys beat England with the help of 1 Cardiff player dealer .... but they're crap so I guess that don't count.

Beckham for England manager

World Cup 2010 - Beckham names 'stars for the future'
Eurosport - Tue, 29 Jun 12:17:00 2010

Buzz Up!
New England manager David Beckham has named Bobby Zamora as one of England's potential stars for the future -despite the uncapped Fulham striker turning 30 in January.

Zamora was one of the players mentioned, along with injury-prone midfielder Owen Hargreaves, who has started just two games for Manchester United in the last two seasons.

Also named were Arsenal youngsters Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott, who was the shock omission from the 23-man squad for South Africa.

Other players listed wereTottenham defender Michael Dawson, passed over in favour of Jamie Carragher and Matthew Upson at the World Cup, Manchester City's Adam Johnson and Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Adam Johnson is one. Another is Kieran Gibbs, the Arsenal left-back," said Capello.

"Also Dawson. He is not young but he is back. Also we have Agbonlahor and Zamora. Another player I hope will be fit is Hargreaves.

"Walcott - I hope he can play and recovers, and his back and shoulder will be okay. Wilshere is another interesting player, another good player who we are looking for."

The FA have announced position of Manager offered to Beckham.

England face Hungary in a friendly at Wembley on August 11 before starting their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign against Bulgaria and Switzerland in September.
