Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Dil - 07 Feb 2019 13:03 - 12311 of 12628

There is no one else to vote for. All the other parties have bigger loonies in charge than the Tories so a lot of people voted for the best (by a country mile) of a bad bunch.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2019 13:13 - 12312 of 12628

Was that said of Hitler in his final days?

Clocktower - 07 Feb 2019 13:23 - 12313 of 12628

Fred is that why the Labour Party ended up with JC, as bar John McDonnell the rest are a little less unbalanced.

2517GEORGE - 07 Feb 2019 13:26 - 12314 of 12628

German Industrial Production fell by 0.4% in December against a Reuters poll expectation of 0.7% rise. December 2018 is 3.9% down on December 2017

Stan - 07 Feb 2019 13:32 - 12315 of 12628

Correct George, so I expect my evaluation of you is spot on?

Stan - 07 Feb 2019 13:37 - 12316 of 12628

Dil or should I say PL Dil (no don’t laugh) just like the football team you chose your judgement in Politics is particularly wrong as well.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2019 13:45 - 12317 of 12628

Strange how a Cornish Pixie picked up the mistake.

I would also have spelt "epitome" as the word sounds to me.

iturama - 07 Feb 2019 14:00 - 12318 of 12628

It only sounds like that to you Fred because you have been reading too many of those silly cartoons. The other one has no excuse for his ignorance apart from himself. Maybe he should "bare" that in mind... sheesh.

2517GEORGE - 07 Feb 2019 14:12 - 12319 of 12628

Stan, re damaging decisions, I voted for the party that would provide the best solution for the country after Labour screwed it up (again) last time.

If you want to see damage you only have to look at Brexit, after the biggest vote in our history, with a clear majority, it should have been reasonably straight forward to implement the will of the people.

However, many of the so called elitists in our society do not want to abide by the result of the referendum, they want to overturn the democratic vote. Instead of getting behind the vote uniting as a country we have this powerful section of society against Brexit. These are the people responsible for inflicting damage on the UK

Re your evaluation of me, I know you hold me in high regard Stan, if it were otherwise quite frankly I couldn't give a fishes tit.

Dil - 07 Feb 2019 15:56 - 12320 of 12628

I've voted for at least five different parties if you include independent as a party.

Never voted Lib though , always seemed a bit wishy washy to me and never knew whether they were coming or going.

A sheep with a red rosette would win most elections around here.

cynic - 07 Feb 2019 15:57 - 12321 of 12628

well they've certainly got a bleating sheep as a leader now, and that's when he makes any sound at all

Dil - 07 Feb 2019 15:57 - 12322 of 12628

Fred , Hitler or Corbyn. ... your right that would be a close call , both scum bags.

Dil - 07 Feb 2019 15:58 - 12323 of 12628

And who the feck would the Jews vote for ?

cynic - 07 Feb 2019 15:58 - 12324 of 12628

hitler and corbyn????? ........ i don't think so ....... lenin or marx or perhaps stalin and corbyn maybe

cynic - 07 Feb 2019 15:59 - 12325 of 12628

12323 - i haven't decided yet, but a peculiar question

Dil - 07 Feb 2019 16:04 - 12326 of 12628

Cynic , if there had been an election race between them not a comparison as buddies.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2019 16:21 - 12327 of 12628

Georgie,

If you are so certain and confident about the will of the people why are your running scared of another informed referendum?

By the way, 2008-2010 was due to the Banks and City's mismanagement.

There had been attempts to tighten the regulations, but doing so would not have past through parliament.

Also, look around the world at that time and question if Labour was responsible for the collapse of the economies of other countries.

Interesting to see whose neck May puts in Corbyn's noose.

2517GEORGE - 07 Feb 2019 16:32 - 12329 of 12628

Red Fred

We know how good Carney is at forecasting.

Running scared ha! ha! Where did that come from? The problem I would have with a 2nd referendum is the wording of it and the fact that it would almost certainly contain 3 elements.

If the wording were the same as in the 1st referendum, the LEAVE vote would be much higher imo

cynic - 07 Feb 2019 16:33 - 12330 of 12628

there is at least a reasonable likelihood that corbyn will have his own neck in that noose
