Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I don't actually recall seeing the roe for sale anywhere, cyners. I guess you must be able to get it, but where?

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 09:22 - 12353 of 12628

https://www.smokedsalmon.co.uk/cods-roe+sp+NS_R1?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8szaxuer4AIV7b_tCh1c5wLjEAAYASAAEgJpy_D_BwE

But you will have to come back to England.

But any decent French Fishmarket.

hilary - 08 Feb 2019 09:31 - 12354 of 12628

Thanks Fred. I don't often go to any of Les Halles, but the supermarket fish counters are pretty big.

I guess I've probably been walking past it without paying any attention to what it might be. I'll try to keep my eyes open next time.

cynic - 08 Feb 2019 10:04 - 12355 of 12628

cod's roe is only in season for a couple of months around the turn of the year and needs to be fat and plump to be good once smoked

should you find any - perhaps on the atlantic coast? - avoid any small pieces that are dark orange or hard
if smoked correctly, the skin should be tawny and the roe a slightly dusky pink and still moderately firm to the touch

zero and no chance chance to find even in large french supermarkets i am sure

cynic - 08 Feb 2019 10:08 - 12356 of 12628

fred - thanks for the useful link

if making tara, whatever that site says(!!), use 80/90% neutral oil and only a small amount of olive oil ...... too much olive oil and the end result is really nasty ...... and not too much garlic either

i'm happy to post a good recipe for tara if anyone would like

Manuel,

be careful Theresa may mistake you for Cod's roe.

iturama - 08 Feb 2019 10:33 - 12359 of 12628

Oh dear, having bad dreams again Fred? Ask your carer for a few poppers and do try to rest. It will all be over before your 80th and then you can go out and smell the roses. Just don't go down the alley where Stan lurks. Doesn't like spending a penny y'know.

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 11:00 - 12360 of 12628

Sh,

It is rambling!

Dil - 08 Feb 2019 11:14 - 12361 of 12628

Maybe today Junkit may like to say a few words to smooth over the Italy / France crisis.

France are also pissing the Germans off over the planned Russian-German gas pipe line and pulled out of a conference on it.

Such a unified bunch eh Fred ?

We haven't even left yet and they're falling apart.

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 11:29 - 12362 of 12628

Sounds a little like the Blaenau Gwent rabble when they are huffing and puffing.

2517GEORGE - 08 Feb 2019 11:30 - 12363 of 12628

Italy has almost 300 billion Euro's of debt with France, Macrony better be careful or he may not get it back.

cynic - 08 Feb 2019 11:52 - 12364 of 12628

i see the labour party witch hunts are up and running once again

Luciana Berger (L'pool Wavertree) faces a vote of no confidence from local party members for "continuously criticsing" corbyn, specifically over anti-semitism and his (non) stance on brexit

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 12:18 - 12365 of 12628

I thought she was a tory mole.

cynic - 08 Feb 2019 12:37 - 12366 of 12628

as so often, you're wrong

poor little fred really doesn't like it when someone has the temerity to criticise his hero, but happy enough to dish it out to all and sundry on the tory side

Dil - 08 Feb 2019 12:45 - 12367 of 12628

She's more than welcome to cross the floor if she so wishes Fred to join a real party.

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 13:17 - 12368 of 12628

Manual,

I recognise political smearing when I see it. Even if it uses anti-Semitism as its weapon.

As a simpleton, you may enjoy it.

Check the reasons for the questioning of Luciana Berger's allegiance to the Labour party and the "no confidence motions".

Grow up and concentrate on cleaning up your own party.

PS.

I am not a member of any political party but certainly wouldn't wish to be a member of the present party of incompetent neo-cons which calls itself the Conservative party.

What a rabble.

-=-=-=-=-=

PS.

It looks as if Corbyn's proposals and really show the splits and self-interests in T. May's mobsters.

I can hear the laughter from Brussels here.

cynic - 08 Feb 2019 13:23 - 12369 of 12628

to repeat .....
poor little fred really doesn't like it when someone has the temerity to criticise his hero, but happy enough to dish it out to all and sundry on the tory side

iturama - 08 Feb 2019 13:36 - 12370 of 12628

Hearing voices now Fred? You are on the slippery slope. That and your fantasies of Mrs May. Sectioning next.

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2019 13:39 - 12371 of 12628

Yes, you do repeat yourself frequently.

It was just a little reminder to help you with your gradually advancing senility.
