World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

Drinks all round then.

Stan - 28 Oct 2008 14:41 - 132 of 1154

I dont think Tony Adams better have oneas an ex. Alcoholic that has done time for drink related problemsa lemonade and lime max..I wish him wella good lad. If he signs Joey Bartonand brings Gazza and Merson on the coaching staffthe alarm bells might start ringing.

Or appoint Kerry Katona as the kit lady.

Gunners and Spurs.... 8 goals in one game....did not see the match .....but that must have been one hell of a game !.

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2008 14:22 - 136 of 1154

Were they playing without goalies?

Treblewide - 30 Oct 2008 14:28 - 137 of 1154

nah fred the keepers were there but god knows where both defenses were...alan hutton played the worst game of football i have ever seen him play...he sold 2 goals

required field - 30 Oct 2008 14:29 - 138 of 1154

Perhaps they were in the dugout watching....good for attendances that there are so many goals....!.

Joe Say - 31 Oct 2008 08:43 - 139 of 1154

And good for us that 4 were from Tottenham

Joe Say - 02 Nov 2008 09:16 - 140 of 1154

And another 2 yesterday - keep them coming Spurs - you'll have us all the Bridge singing your praises soon.

Or perhaps not.

required field - 03 Nov 2008 15:13 - 141 of 1154

Perhaps Spurs ought to sign a few forwards....oh ! I forgot they have just sold two ! damn it !.

Treblewide - 03 Nov 2008 20:21 - 142 of 1154

man u and chelsea looking ominous again......fully expect arsenal and liverpool to fight it out for third yeat again...who said the premiership was predicatble?

Joe Say - 04 Nov 2008 07:49 - 143 of 1154

How about you list the Top 6 in order, and the bottom 3 ?

and let us see your Mystic Meg rating

tabasco - 04 Nov 2008 07:58 - 144 of 1154

Celtic and Rangers looking ominous again......fully expect some raggy arse rovers to fight it out for third yet again...who said the Scottish Premiership was predictable?

Joe Say - 04 Nov 2008 08:07 - 145 of 1154

Try tennis, golf, Formula 1, Rugby Union, Rugby League, or Cricket if you want a non-predicatable sport !!!

required field - 05 Nov 2008 09:50 - 146 of 1154

Chelsea losing does not bode well for a sucess in the Champions league final....if I'm not mistaken most winners do not lose a single game !.

Treblewide - 05 Nov 2008 10:18 - 147 of 1154

top 6

Chelsea
Man U
Liverpool
Arsenal
Aston Villa
Man City

Bottom 3

Stoke
Wigan
Fulham

Treblewide - 05 Nov 2008 10:21 - 148 of 1154

tabby...rangers or celtic will always win the scottish league, i never debated that......as will Man U or Chelsea win the premiership (although you can replace Chelsea maybe in a few years depending on the whim of a particular billionaire)

I would prefer to see a draft system similar to that of the NFL being brought in..........football should not just be about who has the most money...it is all too predicatble....

required field - 05 Nov 2008 10:25 - 149 of 1154

Fulham might produce a miracle like last time and stay up....would not bet against them !.

tabasco - 05 Nov 2008 10:58 - 150 of 1154

If there was a medal for the nicest manager in Britain Roy Hodgson would win it unchallengedhis record outside Britain is excellent taking the Swiss national team to World Cup and Eurothe first time they had ever qualified for a major tournamenthe has been successful with many European teams and is 100% thorough in preparationyet to achieve that success in Britainbut a man I greatly respect.
