It takes an age to load the operating system, before giving the blank screen/cursor.
Might be the operating system which is a bit low - P2 Celeron 350 with 384 mb ram.

Please can somebody tell me how to adjust the time on Windows ME so that it displays on the bottom right of the toolbar as a 24 hour clock rather than a 12 hour clock?

Many thanks guys. That had been driving me round the twist for absolutely ages.
Ironically, I'd seen the Regional options menu but hadn't realised what the difference was between the upper and lower case H.

My wife has just bought by phone a PC from Tiny/Time and all ISPs except Supanet are blocked by an "optimised Modem" contrary to info given by salesman at time of sale.
The only solution Tiny/Time can offer is to use a premium rate support line to order a reload disc which will then allow connection to Supanet where the modem can be unblocked (Deoptimised). I have tried disabling the modem and used an external USB modem which allows me to connect to Onetel but the browser IE 6 does not work. I know there is a fix for this,
Can anyone help

Bobcolby, I wouldn't spend a long time messing about with it or paying them on their support lines, I would take it back to the shop for them to fix or give you a refund. They have sold you a system with a modem that is not fully functional and it's pretty inexcusable.
