I see my doppleganger is back, double posting,

javid, i'm still trading Reuters and don't have anything open on the Dow.
I want to see if I can do better with stocks than index trading. I'm still watching the Dow to see how it affects the Ftse and therefore Reuters.

ok Melnibone.
I feel sorry for Bill Gates. All that money and nobody loves him. :-)
Re the candles - because the candlestick expert showing the Big Whites on my charts is a bit of Metastock software I can't find out the precise definition of a Big White. One could probably work it out if one had the patience and the time.

No probs, snoball
I appreciate your time in replying.
I'll have a look around and see if there is anything I
can use. I never believe/discount anything until I've
checked it out to my own satisfaction.
An open mind never hurt anyone. It's blinkered/religeous type
beliefs that holds people back and gives guru's/governments power
over Real people that are actually capable of independant
thought.

This thread took a bit of finding, it had dropped way down.
I may be posting a bit more on this one, if nobody minds,
I know it's the DOW thread but I expect to be trading the
S@P which is more suited to a US market thread than the FTSE
thread.
After testing the Capital Spreads simulator, I've opened an
account and just funded it.
I'll keep my CMC CFD account for trading FTSE stocks in 's
and try using the Capital Spreads spreadbetting account for
trading the US markets in 's rather than Dollars.
I don't fancy the DOW, it's a 30 strong Price weighted index
rather than Market Cap weighted that is too easy to manipulate
imho.
I want to see what the fills are like in real time rather than
simulated, so I intend to trade the S@P to start with and keep
the stakes and volatility relatively low in comparison to
the DOW and the Naz.
I'm not really happy about having a known stop in the market,
so I'll see how they behave whilst I get a feel for futures
and US trading with minimal risk.
Catch you all later with a bit of luck.
Melnibone.

Dow has gapped open higher and stalled against 10700
resistance.
I hear that President week is usually an up week.
But that doesn't mean that it won't go lower first.
Would be happier to see this close the gap open and
come back off support rather than chase this higher
from here.

Good luck with the S&P, Melnibone.
It is certainly more sedate than the Dow.
The Dow & spx are looking bullish on the 1 minute.

Thanks snoball,
Just taking it easy at the moment and feeling my way in.
DOW doesn't seem to want to go above 10700 and
S@P has just topped again at 1158. Can't see it breaking
1160 without the DOW performing better.

I see what you mean about sedate, snoball.
The matchsticks under my eyelids are going soggy.;-)
Ah! Some movement at last. New daily high, let's see
what happens at 1160. Be a few Bear stops just past
there I reckon.

The Dow was almost a Big White there for a while above 720.
