optomistic - 01 Oct 2004 17:24 - 15116 of 23498

Thats a surprise LW thought you were away for much longer. Have you kept up with KCOM news (buying Eclipse) I think a good deal but not reflected in the price yet! trading statement OK. I would enjoy a sleep for a day I always seem to wake up early.

little woman - 01 Oct 2004 17:24 - 15117 of 23498

I was just looking for todays traders thread. Am I going blind, or isn't there one in the investors room?

Priscilla - 01 Oct 2004 17:25 - 15118 of 23498

ignore me!

optomistic - 01 Oct 2004 17:26 - 15119 of 23498

LW There is usually but I think it is because of the Clitheroe meeting, everyone is there.

little woman - 01 Oct 2004 17:54 - 15120 of 23498

Lost the site for 20 min!

I'm falling asleep about 8pm, then waking at 4am, back to sleep and waking at 7am for work. By the time I'm home theres just enough time to eat, wind down and I'm asleep again!

Theres a traders thread in the traders room, but not in the investors room....

Socrates - 01 Oct 2004 18:05 - 15121 of 23498

As I was saying before the site went down:

Priscilla
Ignore you, why?

snoball - 01 Oct 2004 18:51 - 15122 of 23498

lw, there is a traders thread on this board but greystone hasn't done it today.
Yesterdays is here http://www.moneyam.com/InvestorsRoom/ShowPostList?fID=1&tID=3873

If you put 'greystone' in the user box of the search engine you will get the traders thread.

little woman - 01 Oct 2004 18:52 - 15123 of 23498

Thanks snoball,

I'm struggling to stay awake...... I'm going to call it a day, even if it's a "short one"!

jeffmack - 01 Oct 2004 18:55 - 15124 of 23498

Hi LW
welcome home

This_is_me - 01 Oct 2004 19:12 - 15125 of 23498

First the good news - the washing machine is happy at its work again.

Then the better still news - its problems can't possibly be blamed on me. A piece of material had escaped from the drum, got through the filter and got into the pump!

The even better than that news - the engineer had extracted the foreign matter and had the machine fixed by 9:30; in plenty of time for me to take out my frustrations on a few tennis balls.

The bad news is - having the bathroom gutted ad re-done is becoming a problem. After removing all the tiles I have discovered a disaster area. Firstly there was a stud wall between the bath and the shower the bottom of which hardly exists any more thanks to water egress. Then the rest of the walls show what a botched job of tiling the previous owners of the house did; it is going to be a kango job to strip the walls back to the plaster. Groan, groan. 'She who thinks she should be obeyed' expects such minor problems to be solved inside a day whereas it takes her a month to do the far more important job, of sewing a button onto my tennis shorts!

I am expecting lots of sympathy from the men!

snoball - 01 Oct 2004 19:15 - 15126 of 23498

Listen T_i_m, if you can kango a new bathroom wall and stick on a few tiles how come you can't sew a button on? :0)

This_is_me - 01 Oct 2004 20:46 - 15127 of 23498

Women used to think some things were men's jobs and some things were women's jobs. Now they seem to think that what were men's jobs around the house are still men's jobs and that, because of 'womens lib'' what were women's jobs are now men's jobs!

Calling all men - join the men's liberation army!

brockman - 01 Oct 2004 20:48 - 15128 of 23498

Tim, think yourself lucky to have a job at all :o)

jeffmack - 01 Oct 2004 21:51 - 15129 of 23498

I'm in TIM, no woman tells me what to do

chocolat - 01 Oct 2004 22:43 - 15130 of 23498

Pull the other one, jeffie :)

Btw - blame the non-appearance of the investors' thread on Bullie ;) what's he like, huh? Give the boss a job to do..

Yep, I'm home - but the lights aren't on yet...

jeffmack - 01 Oct 2004 22:55 - 15131 of 23498

welcome back choccie, how was it?

chocolat - 01 Oct 2004 23:10 - 15132 of 23498

Good to meet up with new faces, jeffie - I nearly didn't get there, as someone went to work this morning with my car-keys in his pocket...the only reason I'm home first is because I need an early start tomorrow - if I'd stayed for dinner tonight (which was already running late) I'd never have got home at all, everyone else was staying over! It was most enjoyable...and err, jj and amberj are still there!!

Socrates - 02 Oct 2004 08:26 - 15133 of 23498

Good morning. Nice cuppa to start the day.
