Weird the Dow, isn't it? Perhaps it needs to bust 14,000 before there is profit taking, or perhaps it doesn't.

Socs... think the Dow is just reacting to America's bullish behaviour. It would appear their markets (if not ours as well) are in the hands of a lot of want to get rich quick but no experience new comers who seem to come out of the woodwork towards the end of every bull run. They rarely want to hear bad news, and will keep buying and holding with the expectation that things can only go up. If you haven't already read it, I heartily recommend Bernice Cohen's book 'The edge of chaos' it explains the whole crash syndrome beautifully.

Re ptholden's comment have you seen the size of this chandelier?. If the chandelier was bought from the back of the Trotters 3 wheeled car, it really can not be so big as to light up Wembly Stadium.....or can it?
Perhaps it's not the size of the chandelier but it's unique source of energy that makes it so bright......incidentally has any one paid the electricity bill for the coffee house recently?

Good morning all, grey and humid here too, weather not so hot either!
Bluelady, chandeliers of the larger variety are made to be broken down into smaller pieces, that's how it fitted into the yellow peril. I'm sure you saw the boys break it down in their unique fashion.

Good morning Socrates and Keaydian,
Socrates, oh dear perhaps you ought to let ptholden know....but tell him very gently and in a diplomatic way because personally speaking I think he was expecting a lot of money from Powergen!!!
