THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

He might enjoy a night out in this place then -):

"We are used to pubs launching happy hours but a pub in Yorkshire has bucked the trend and are running an unhappy hour where customers can unload about what a terrible week they have had with a prize for the best, or should that be, worst tale"

Haystack,

you say, 'Diplomatic immunity extends across all offences and crimes', and of course you are right.
But the UK have now admitted it was a mistake to release the Iranian diplomat, as it was an act of terrorism.
I am certain if an Iranian Diplomat had committed the same act in say, the USA, they would have told Ian to get stuffed (diplomatically of course)
If a UK diplomat committed murder in a foreign state, the UK would withdraw such immunity, as would every other country apart from tin pot states such as Iran.

For a foreign diplomat committing a serious crime in the UK, the UK would go by the letter of the Geneva Convention.
For a UK diplomat committing a serious crime in a foreign country the UK would bend over backward to co-operate with the foreign country.

Stopping posting, you could well miss a lot of the fun banter.

Tank,

If you are looking for peace and quiet close to the area you suggested, have a look on the Portuguese side of the River Guadiana from Villa Real up to Pomarao.

Beautiful, quiet and Villa Real and Spanish Ayamonte by Ferry. Lovely little towns.

Seville and Faro are fairly close.

I am a little jealous of you.

Thought years ago pitching up there.
