THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hays,

I was in the same University as Kinnock, at the same time.

He was a poor bridge player, but one thing which I admire him for was standing up to the "loony left" of the Labour party. The labour party is grateful for that.

The Labour party has moved on, it is a shame the tories haven't and still puppets on a string to the Aschrofts and a small number of wealthy tax avoiders living outside the country and exporting its wealth.

Greek,

I would bring back vigilantism and summary justice.
That would solve the problem.

============================

One of the better ways to protect against the “crime” would be to educate their parents or guardians to be more protective of the responsibilities.
Also, perhaps, increasing scrutiny of those in “caring” and “investigating” positions.

==========

Again, without looking it up, I think the highest rates of “paedophilia” are found within the family. (That is without including Filicide.)

Education and change of “culture” would seem to me to be the only method of reducing this form of crime.

How you educate in this area is the problem.

It would be reasonable to think that in this country the following law was passed:=

“On 4 August 1842, a law was passed that stopped women and children under ten years from working underground in mines in Britain.

The change of law was bitterly opposed by many of the “Coal Owners”. The echoes of which still resonates through the philosophy of some Trade Unionists.

-------------

You can change the law, but changing the "family cultures" takes longer.

It has been revealed that the missing girl has cerebral palsy. It is not enough that she has suffered already, but that she has been abducted and subjected to heavens known what and probably dead somewhere.

It is yet another PR disaster for God.

I wonder why H/S?

Fred1new - 03 Oct 2012 23:20 - 18534 of 81564

Hays,

If God doesn't exist he can't have failed.

But each man is responsible for the creation of his own beliefs and actions.

Some of those beliefs are more credible than others and some actions more worthy than others.

Have you ever looked at your own beliefs and actions and pondered on how you formulated your own values?

===========

But this government seems more and more incompetent. Not only my opinion, but much of the media's.

You had better look out, as Cameron and Osborne, first blamed the labour government, then Europe, then the world and now civil servants and the weather for their own mistakes. You may be in the firing line as you voted for them.

I thought Cameron was going to be the New Messiah and Osborne was going to be the new Paul.

Before reality broke through the party follower lauded them as Captain Invincible and his Space dog, hoping that they would walk on water, rather than seem to drown in it.

The only thing they seem to have got right is the weather.

Well, at least the reservoirs are full again.

I forgot, they also won the Olympic race.

Wasn't it the three legged one?

French bill targets overseas militant training camps

The French government is drafting a bill that would allow the prosecution of people who train as militants in extremist camps overseas.

The move comes six months after Frenchman Mohamed Merah killed seven people in shootings near Toulouse.

Merah claimed links to al-Qaeda and said he had attended training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

New legislation will also allow authorities to monitor suspects thought to be running extremist websites.

Those found to have attended militant training camps overseas could face up to 10 years in prison.

A water Bed in a German furniture store. Note that the sign says NOT to get on the bed, but oh well..the best way to motivate people to do something is to put up a sign saying

"Don't........!"

ExecLine - 05 Oct 2012 10:49 - 18544 of 81564

The police have to charge Bridger to keep him arrested - either that or let him go.

And Tanker, "You are making my foot itch!"

You say, "I would have the info in one hour ." I guess that means you would torture it out of him or beat it out of him.

You really are a fascistic scum bag yourself and certainly want bashing by somebody to make you calm down and talk some objective sense for a change. Bridger might well be innocent of any crime and his arrest might just be based on purely circumstantial evidence. At the moment the police need to keep him arrested, and they can only do this by charging him, or they just have to let him go. Doing this could even be a 'foil' to try and trap someone else into making a false move.

Can't you remember the wierd looking 'blue haired retired teacher', Christopher Jeffries, who got castigated by all the newspapers and painted as though he was guilty? Well he wasn't, was he? Don't you remember? It was the boyfriend wot done it! I suppose you would have tortured him and beaten six bells out of him to get a confession too?

'Struth!
