Well lunchtime approaches, so my attention needs to shift to
the kitchen. There's also a quantity of bubble and squeak in the
fridge that can be popped into the frying pan if anyone fancies
it for a quick lunch with some cold meats or whatever - loads of
food still about in here, so indulge and enjoy!!! :>)

If you're working today I hope you can get away early and if you're
not enjoy your day, relax and have fun!! :>)

Morning Bunny, must be all out at the M&S sale!! DD was most enthusiastic, I'd rather be at home!
Now danish, of course we have some, one or two? I'll just have the one still feeling quite full.

jj50 - 27 Dec 2004 11:44 - 21544 of 23498

Thanks Socs - sun not arrived yet, but shall look forward to it. Our dustmen came too, extra early, so most people missed it!!

Danish sounds really good, opto. Think the bubble and squeak would flatten me bunny ......... :-)

optomistic - 27 Dec 2004 11:56 - 21545 of 23498

Yes stick with the danish jj...... Bubble and squeak oh no Bunny, not today. Thanks anyway, we surely will never starve in here!!

Socrates - 27 Dec 2004 12:50 - 21546 of 23498

Bubble and squeak is a Christmas "must have", along with the gherkins, cold meats and picles. I even prefer it to the Christmas dinner.

optomistic - 27 Dec 2004 12:54 - 21547 of 23498

Socs....what an appetite!!!

chocolat - 27 Dec 2004 13:09 - 21548 of 23498

I dunno...I prefer bubbles to squeaks.

little willie - 27 Dec 2004 13:24 - 21549 of 23498

my mrs agrees with you chocs...

I remember a time when today would have meant bubble & squeak plus gherkins/pickled cabbage/piccallilli/mother in laws home made pickled onions/ assorted cold meats of turkey, gammon, pheasant maybe woodcock or duck plus the parsons nose; some hours later, following a serious attack on a fully matured stilton heavily laced with generous lashings of vintage port it absolutely guaranteed riotous behaviour underneath a hovering duvet.

Now sadly its a DISGUSTING MANS HABIT

brockman - 27 Dec 2004 17:23 - 21550 of 23498

But does the duvet still hover LW? ;o)

optomistic - 27 Dec 2004 17:31 - 21551 of 23498

Hullo Brocks, had a nice Christmas?

brockman - 27 Dec 2004 17:48 - 21552 of 23498

Never mind that bah humbug stuff Jeffie.... Brocks is right, better when it's all over, not saying that it is not enjoyable when it's happening

brockman - 27 Dec 2004 18:03 - 21555 of 23498

I keep missing the enjoyable bit, maybe I need a new duvet! ;o)

optomistic - 27 Dec 2004 18:11 - 21556 of 23498
