Sorry, I don't agree. The chart showed typical weakness and I still say it will go down further although it may not be in a straight line.

on balance, i think you are right, but purely becxause i think the stock is still over-priced and the underlying wirth very questionable ...... on the other hand, its competitor in US (First Solar = FSLR) continues to perform strongly overall, though it too can be very volatile

took a gamble late friday afternoon on basis that US was looking stronger n bought at 438 ..... however, much as 500 provided some support, so it is likely to provide resistance and have no intention of doing other than trade .... shall be watching very carefully and shall certainly not hold beyond wednesday close as off on jolly hols for a couple of weeks and shall not be able to monitor incessantly.

Drew some lines on a chart over the weekend and although I will no doubt be accused of being clever after the event, I found three that all converged at 437 (Friday's close) which suggested that my 'time to go long soon' had indeed arrived. So Richard your gamble was actually based on sound TA, for the moment anyway :)

good morning Peter ...... trust the Arabian Gulf is not proving unbearably hot, at least not yet - come July and you may as well be a turkey in the oven! .... my logic for buying was based on pure greed rather than logic (lol!)!

shall force myself to follow my own published discipline ...... showing a very tasty profit here, but shall take it before close (have done so at 483.25) ...... shall then consider whether or not to take a position in the ADRs

Finished $20.02 in US so it should be over 500p in morning. Is that a gap filled in.

did fine for me ..... bought ADRs at $19.07 and sold again at $20.00 .... was a good boy and obeyed the discipline.
shall contemplate what to do in the morning.

this morning's London sp does no more than reflect a strong showing on Wall Street last night ...... i am currently neutral having made and banked a decent profit on both markets yesterday, but i suspect that 500 may prove something of a hurdle, though i am not brave (rash) enough to short - at least not for now

I think everyone particularly in US are waiting for confirmation of secondary pricing for ADR's which is due to be announced today. If its good there will no resisitance until at least 580-600p.

I think it refers to SOLA selling ADR shares to raise more capital some 9m shares. However the price of the these shares sold have not been released yet, its suppose to be announced today.
Check out Yahoo.com to message board for SOL, you will find this share is hugely popular in US and there are some interesting bb's about.

and also a lot of mug punters who will pile in - e.g. similar to those piling into Geong!
