Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Bakko,

Simple answer is - you can't :) you are the only one who can see it next to your name - everyone else see's it next to their own name and it is essentially there so that you can go back in and edit any posting by yourself at a future date.

Hope this helps,

Ian

The blue edit sign is there so you can go back and amend your own posts if you want to !!!

Ian

Many thanks for your prompt answer.

Ian & Jonathon - further to observations about the Stockwatch news flags, posted yesterday, I can confirm that they only appear after a refresh.

I experimented with ARX and CFE announcements on UKWire at 13:21 and 13:27.
Nothing appeared on stockwatch. I refreshed at 13:41 and both "N" alerts appeared.

Clearly, the News function needs some sorting out, if you have to refresh to actually know that there is news out.....

P.S. I'm also relatively sure that the N flag on Empire Interactive(AIM:EMP) didn't appear until the later news for the OFEX company Empresario(OFEX:EMP??) came out, despite refreshes in the period between the two news items.

dell,

These have appeared correctly on my watchlist this morning which has been up and running since earlier this morning without the need to refresh. However, I have made Jonathan aware of this and he will look into it for you,

dell314,

My stockwatch has also been running all morning (without refreshing) and I have 7 news flags on it at the moment.

I will look into why there may possibly be a delay.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Sep 2004 15:17 - 2582 of 7315

maddoctor,

Thank you for this - Jonathan is not in the office for the rest of the afternoon, but I will pass your comments onto him and see if there is anything we can do with any other stocks with these spikes.

Have we lost the S&P 500 index? I remember it used to be epic s500.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Sep 2004 16:18 - 2584 of 7315

Peter,

Unfortunately, this is a feed we no longer support - apologies for the inconvenience.

Ian - ROK (Level 1, ie Stockwatch) is showing 4.27/4.30 but L2 showing 4.25/4.30, unmoved since early morning. It seems to have caught the mobile bug and showing 'last trade' price as Mid Price. When is this bug going to be squashed, PLEASE!!!

PeterG - 29 Sep 2004 16:45 - 2586 of 7315

Ian, I'm sorry to hear you've discontinued the S&P. Are you sure you can't provide it? Most sites seem to provide it - at least delayed - for free...

Mega Bucks - 29 Sep 2004 16:48 - 2587 of 7315

Why be like other sites, lets have it realtime for free :-)

jeffmack - 29 Sep 2004 16:54 - 2588 of 7315

Can you take a look at the Tesco price quote

BrianTrayda - 29 Sep 2004 17:06 - 2589 of 7315

Ian, did you get a response to the UT closing trade being immediately echo'ed with a time of 01:00:00 and no trade type?

dell314 - 29 Sep 2004 17:59 - 2590 of 7315

Whilst you're looking at TSCO(re post 2587), can you tell me why it appears in the "52 wk low" toplist(position 44), when it is actually very near its annual high??

Maggot - 29 Sep 2004 18:23 - 2591 of 7315

IanT. I think perhaps you should post something on the Traders' thread explaining that some of the Stockwatch closing prices may be way out. There may be some who don't realise.

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 20:33 - 2592 of 7315

Hi Ian, still cant get email through to that scorpio address I emailed u with, did you get my email?

MightyMicro - 29 Sep 2004 21:57 - 2593 of 7315

dell314:

Which version of StockWatch are you using? HTML or streaming Java?

dell314 - 30 Sep 2004 07:42 - 2594 of 7315

MightyMicro - Is that a trick question?? I use streaming java.

Ian/Jonathon - Tried the newsflag experiment again, with no other streaming windows open.
Stockwatch was running before 7AM and EMP newsflag only appeared after I refreshed my screen some time later.
