Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

VICTIM - 14 Jun 2016 09:45 - 2933 of 12628

That's a good line though . believe in Britain .

ahoj - 14 Jun 2016 09:56 - 2934 of 12628

If I remember correctly Sun was supporting Cameron as well!!

iturama - 14 Jun 2016 10:05 - 2935 of 12628

I agree with the point it makes:-

We must set ourselves free from dictatorial Brussels. Throughout our 43-year membership of the European Union it has proved increasingly greedy, wasteful, bullying and breathtakingly incompetent in a crisis.

I have nothing against decent hard-working people seeking a better life for themselves. The operative words being decent hard-working. They will still be free to work here after independence. Just remove the criminals and vagabonds back to where they came from.

At Gordon Brown's 'save the remainer's' pro-eu press conference yesterday,
gordon brown was asked SEVERAL times by the press about immigration, and
he ignored the questions, but afterwards he said to some that "we have to
stay in the eu and help those countries that are struggling with unemployment".

Which gave the indication that 'immigration from the eu was the UK's duty to
help mitigate the unemployment in those countries that are struggling',
and if that means hundreds of thousands coming to this country, so be it...

VICTIM - 14 Jun 2016 11:21 - 2939 of 12628

Yes it's all about distributing the lesser ones around the EU , and one reason we have to get out as we will be hammered .

It's Gordon Munster - and he's got a bolt loose:

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN says it will take more than a procession of undead former PMs to persuade voters to stay

By Richard Littlejohn for the Daily Mail

Published: 02:00, 14 June 2016 | Updated: 07:51, 14 June 2016

The Remain campaign is beginning to resemble The Night Of The Living Dead, as the crypt doors creak open and another former Prime Minister is disinterred.

Last week, it was the turn of Tony Blair and John Major to emerge from beyond the grave to warn that the Irish Troubles will kick off again in earnest if we vote Leave.

Major has always had a ghostly pallor and these days Blair looks as if he’s been embalmed. Call Me Dave seems to be heading the same way, judging by his zombie-like appearance on The Andrew Marr Show at the weekend.

Boy George behaves like Igor, the crazed laboratory assistant, frantically twiddling dials and fiddling with his Bunsen burner in an increasingly desperate attempt to pump new life into the Remain monster.

Yesterday, Gordon Brown was given a Frankenstein-style jolt of electricity and let loose on an unsuspecting electorate. Unfortunately, mission control forgot to check the wiring and tighten the bolt in his neck before unlocking his cage.

Gordon lumbered into BBC Radio 4’s Today programme studio like Herman Munster, circuit board set to ‘transmit only’.

The Sun must think we are going to leave. They have a strange policy in that they tend to support the side that they think will win. They did it in GEs over the years, supporting Blair and switching to Cameron.

One of Europe's highest courts has backed the UK in a case brought against it on welfare benefits for EU migrants.

In a judgement today, the European Court of Justice said the UK's "right to reside" test for certain family benefits was legitimate, after the European commission brought a case against it arguing that it discriminates against child migrants.

==========

how frightfully generous of the european courts!
no doubt the remainers will bring this forward as an example of how things can be changed or similar from inside the system

Haystack - 14 Jun 2016 12:36 - 2945 of 12628

Almost certainly.

2517GEORGE - 14 Jun 2016 13:28 - 2946 of 12628

The Project Fear campaign has backfired so expect more of the same and some belated concessions to try and get us to vote IN.

It is interesting that at least one union, the RMT, is backing a leave vote.

cynic - 14 Jun 2016 15:19 - 2948 of 12628

so is corbyn

Haystack - 14 Jun 2016 15:35 - 2949 of 12628

Corbyn said today that leaving the EU could destroy the NHS. I see he has been taking lessons in lying from both sides of the campaign.

cynic - 14 Jun 2016 15:37 - 2950 of 12628

he's no doubt been instructed to say that by unite and the other puppetmasters

MaxK - 14 Jun 2016 15:38 - 2951 of 12628

Everything is ok...until after the referendum, then they will reverse the decision.
