Kim, interesting that you swapped Chaco for BLR - I've been trying for months to see the attraction of CHP at recent valuations and just can't bring myself to purchase when I see what else is on offer. As Explosive says, there's a lot of speculation surrounding CHP - I'd be inclined to wait for more news and a maturing of the exploration program.

BLR should be in for exciting times. Arce + Monterey = hopefully a big re-rating!

All IMO, PDYOR, etc.

explosive - 16 Jun 2006 13:03 - 358 of 1049

ST, there seams to be many an investor that share your CHP line of thinking. I think the plays will come later in the year however theres always the possibility of a farm out agreement or partnership which I think would cause a quick rise.

BLR I agree is very exciting and a re-rating is overdue. Should we see a bull market next week there no reason why BLR shouldn't find stability at 2p even without any announcement.

ST, I sort of jumped on the band wagon with CHP, without too much research - not something I normally do. I haven't become disillusioned with them, although obviously there is always a big risk in investing in this sort of company, I just feel that they are still a long way off making any real headway and my money will fare a lot better with BLR. Time will tell; I have been wrong before......many, many times!!

Does anyone know why BLR has fallen on such little volume when there is possible good news in short term

cynic - 21 Jun 2006 09:42 - 361 of 1049

Tiny company with low cap will always have exaggerated movements even on low volume ..... also likely to be only one MM

soul traders - 21 Jun 2006 11:05 - 362 of 1049

Agreed - don't panic. Could be a tree-shake by the MM in advance of anticipated good news - those City boys have to pay for their Porsches somehow! It certainly doesn't undermine the fundamentals of this stock, which IMHO has never looked better.

quite a tight spread at the moment, too - trades in the last couple of hours have gone through at about 1.53p/1.64.

explosive - 21 Jun 2006 18:11 - 363 of 1049

Marcel - I agree with all to possibe reasons for the small fall. And as you say "possible good news in short term". Possible being the word here... Short term in BLR RNS's is many months as you've probally noticed.

Marcel1970 - 22 Jun 2006 07:57 - 364 of 1049

hopefully thats about to change

skyhigh - 22 Jun 2006 08:24 - 365 of 1049

Grim isn't it ?
Just hope that we get the RNS later today or tomorrow as topping this morning... Just hope that all the hype will be worth it !

Marcel1970 - 22 Jun 2006 08:24 - 366 of 1049

As anybody know why BLR is a futher 15% down

driver - 22 Jun 2006 08:59 - 367 of 1049

Marcel1970
Because kim bought in, (still watching).

kimoldfield - 22 Jun 2006 09:57 - 368 of 1049

Quite right Driver!! I will compile a list of all shares I have an interest in so that they can be avoided by everyone else; it can be bought for 100.00, send SAE! :o). Another reason could just be that this type of share is prone to bounce around all over the place until some solid news comes out.....then, off she goes, sky's the limit!?!

skyhigh - 22 Jun 2006 10:25 - 369 of 1049

Well, I've topped up this morning... everybody is piling in ..issue the RNS and let the fun begin!

Marcel1970 - 22 Jun 2006 10:29 - 370 of 1049

Ive also topped up this morning but is seems like some must be selling off the book

soul traders - 22 Jun 2006 10:29 - 371 of 1049

Marcel, I've been watching this stock for two years, with a small holding from the beginning and a much larger one since March. The dips are perfectly normal for a teeny-weeny oil company at the centre of speculation about its prospects. If you want to stay sane, take a view of where this will be in a year or two based on the (IMO) excellent prospects in its portfolio.

If I wanted to increase my BLR holding, I'd be looking at current weakness as a buying opportunity before the rises I hope are due on forthcoming production. (EDIT: I see you already have; our posts overlapped.)

ALL IMO, PDYOR, etc.

skyhigh - 22 Jun 2006 10:52 - 372 of 1049

I'm not complaining this morning as I've topped up... but does anyone know why the've marked down the sp this morning when there's been so much strong buying and the market has gone up !

kimoldfield - 22 Jun 2006 14:15 - 373 of 1049

I can't find any reason for the sp fall Skyhigh, but like you I'm not complaining! Added a few more @ 1.48p so now the sp will drop again!!

Wrong one see SER.

soul traders - 22 Jun 2006 17:07 - 375 of 1049

Seems I was mistaken about SER's prospects! BLR will follow, I am certain :o) Still very happy with my holding.
